Stefan B. Szalachy

Stefan B. Szalachy, born in 1953 in Hungary, got his secondary school certificate at the Theresianische Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt and then studied law and economics. Szalachy got his experience in the public relations area as PR consultant for IIASA in Laxenburg and a consultant at the PR agency Publico, as well as during his studies in journalism and communications management in Bern. In 1984, he got the State Prize for Public Relations. In 1987, Szalachy founded his own company Esprit Public Relations GesmbH, of which he is the Managing Director and Senior Consultant today. Szalachy, who speaks Hungarian and English, was a founding member and president of E.C.C.O – the European Communication and Consulting Organisation, as well as a director of the Austrian PR Association PRVA. Szalachy, who is a registered business mediator at the Federal Ministry of Justice, also deals with conflict and crisis communications.
