In the Exploration and Production business segment OMV is active in 17countries worldwide. Daily production amounts to 317,000 boe/d per year-end 2009. Based upon a strong domestic gas and oil production, OMV embarked on the international E&P business in 1985. The company’s E&P operations currently focus on five core regions: CEE (including Austria), North Africa, North- West Europe, the Middle East and Australia/New Zealand. The deployment of state-of-the art E&P technologies will guarantee highlevel production activities also in the future, enabling the further expansion of the E&P business going forward.

communication matters works on “special” projects for OMV Exploration & Production. This includes projects in staff communication, internet projects and publications. The goal of our work is to strengthen internal and external communications and to network employees at different E&P Ventures around the world. We are helping to position OMV E&P as an important part of the holding. This means to communicate the special fascination of the “upstream” business, the necessary scientific expertise and technical challenges to the “outside world”.
