Building high-capacity rail links
ÖBB-Infrastruktur Bau AG, a public limited company owned by the Austrian Government, is responsible for the planning and construction of high-capacity rail sections. One of its most important projects is the construction of the Lainz Tunnel in Vienna to link the western, southern and Danube embankment lines. Work commenced in the spring of 1999 and completion is scheduled for 2012.
We have been advising the company’s Vienna project management office and its public information department on communication strategy, and have undertaken a wide variety of projects for them. These include the production of publications such as a residents' newsletter and a project report, the organisation of exhibitions, assistance with media relations work, advice on the current public consultation process and help with the establishment of an information centre.
