brainpower austria
brainpower austria has become one of the most important promotion and sponsorship programmes for the internationalisation of human resources in research and development in Austria, since it was set up in 2004 by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit). It offers support for researchers and scientists, who are active internationally and are interested in Austria as a research location, as well as exchanges between scientists and the Austrian scientific community.
The services brainpower austria provides have been used by more than 500 research-intensive companies and over 1,000 researchers and experts.
brainpower austria’s focus is on matching concrete job offers in the R&D area with the demands of scientists and experts. The job exchange “brainpower austria careers” covers 85% of all online R&D jobs on offer in Austria and brings those offering work together with job seekers.
In addition to the numerous grants on offer encouraging international networking, brainpower austria started a new service called “Translational brainpower” in June 2007, supporting short-term visits to Austria by scientists.
communication matters works with brainpower on its communication strategy and supports its media work.
