Discussion event Q-VISION “City meets Science” on 10.12.2007 in Media Quarter Marx, Vienna
What makes Vienna stand out as a research location?
The future of Vienna as a science location was the kick-off event of “Q-VISION”, by the Center for Innovation and Technology (Zentrums für Innovation und Technologie or ZIT). The Mayor of Vienna Michael Häupl, Science Minister Johannes Hahn and internationally recognised physicist Haim Harari discussed this topic at Media Quarter Marx. Vienna invests about 100 million euros per year in the area of basic and applied research. The goal is to bring more scientists to Vienna to strengthen the city’s position in this branch. The target is to make the Austrian capital a science city of the future through the different promotional activities of ZIT, Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) and the Vienna Business Agency (WWFF).
Organisation of discussion event
communication matters conceptualised the discussion “City meets Science” and was responsible for event organisation.
