OMV Gas & Power (2007)
OMV Gas & Power
Creation of Image Brochure
This sector has developed into a core business for OMV in recent years, not least because of the integration of Petrom in 2004, which contributed immensely to the positioning of OMV in the gas business. Natural gas has been showing enormous growth rates and is considered to be one of the primary energy resources of the future. The increasing importance of natural gas has also had consequences for OMV in its organisational structure and the company has merged its gas business into a holding for trade and logistics.
OMV is active in all parts of the gas business. The company has a strong position in gas transit and controls a pipeline system in Austria of 2,000 km and with a capacity of 56 billion m³, as well as producing and storing gas.
The future of OMV Gas International will be affected by further expansion. It plans to become the leading gas distributor in Central and Eastern Europe by 2010. Gas trading levels will be raised to 20 billion m³ per year. The logistics business will be strengthened through the new distribution projects such as the Nabucco Gas Pipeline and the Adria LNG Terminal in Croatia, as well as expansion in transit capacities in Austria.
communication matters was commissioned to produce an image brochure for OMV Gas. The brochure “Introducing OMV Gas“ was published in German and English, with a summary in Russian.
