Vorarlberger Illwerke AG

The power station group Vorarlberger Illwerke AG is the basis for electricity generation in Montafon and Walgau with its nine power plants and four hydro lakes.

Illwerke provides its electricity users and partners with peak load energy and control power,  the possibility for pump storage and further energy services, as part of the European network that connects all power stations and users. 

The construction of KOPS II was decided in 2003, due to increased demand for peak load energy and control power. This power plant will be the largest of its kind at Illwerke.

communication matters has been commissioned, together with AgenturKB as its local partner, to conceptualise and establish an Info-Center in Partenen, Vorarlberg. The  Info-Center will inform local residents, as well as tourists, about the construction of the new power station, the current status of the building project and the power plants in the  Illwerke/VKW Group.

communication matters has been able to get competent partners from the fields of  multimedia, film and technical visualisation for the project. The total experience of visitors is at the centre of information presentation The senses should be stimulated by different sounds, pictures and lighting and information assimilation should result from different ``cognitive channels.
