Joining forces for Europe’s forests
The Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe links 44 European countries. Non-European countries and international organisations attend as observers. The overall goal is to address common opportunities and challenges related to forests and forestry, and to promote sustainable forest management in Europe. In addition, the MCPFE aims to communicate with the public on all issues concerning Europe’s forests.
We have developed a communication concept for the 4th Ministerial Conference, which was held in Vienna in April 2003. This contained proposals for a public information effort involving long-term communication of selected issues relating forests with other aspects of life.
