Jury Statement

The Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology intends to spark young people’s enthusiasm for the profession of scientist with this project. Particular focus lies in the areas of natural sciences and technological sciences. Students who are about to decide which degree they will choose should get a realistic image of research and researchers. The idea was to enable a mutual exchange of information leaving hierarchies aside, as part of an informal, group-dynamic process, applying the strategic approach of “two-way symmetric communications”. This was carried out in the form of an event for larger groups, following the “Open Space” model. The project’s dialogue-oriented approach and structure, as well as the consistent, clear implementation of the chosen strategy should be highlighted in particular. The initial idea was put into practice consistently and highly suitable for the target group, using the budget efficiently.
